The title refers to point source pollution, which is pollution from a single identifiable source, like a smokestack, sewage outlet, or street light. The piece deals with ideas of moving from purity to saturation, the natural to the industrial. This composition is partially inspired by Diego Rivera’s murals, “Detroit Industry,” in the Detroit Institute of Arts.
